Ali Oladele
HI, I'm
a Registered Psychologist, licensed through the College of Alberta Psychologists. I strive to provide a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic environment where you will feel safe to share your story, how you are experiencing life, and where you are struggling. My goal is to meet you where you are at and to work collaboratively with you to make the changes you want to see in your life. I do not offer a one size fits all approach, as we are all individual and require different support. I will work with you toward the goals that you would like to achieve with therapeutic approaches such as Attachment Theories, Parts Work, Trauma Theories, and mindfulness
In addition to my Masters of Counselling, I have completed training in Existential Therapy, Mindfulness CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing (SEP), and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I believe that these modalities enable us to evaluate patterns, explore our inner experiences, increase awareness of emotions, process the past, and heal the nervous system so that we can move forward toward a fuller, more satisfying life; mind, body, and soul.
My areas of focus include those who experience feelings of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss (including miscarriage and infant loss), disordered eating, relationship issues, parenting, maternal mental health, and life transitions. My professional and personal experiences inform my practice and have provided me with the opportunity to connect with and support others in these areas.
I have experience working with children, youth, and adults, including individuals, couples, and families. I have previously worked in various programs for non-for profit organizations.
